Phra Satawat Buddha BE 2500, Wat Suthat, Bangkok

Quote of source : http://lekwatruak.netfirms.com/25hist.html

25 Buddha Sattawas Leela
On the celebration of 2500 years of Buddhism in B.E.2500, the Thai government by Prime Minister P. Phiboonsongkram ordered the creation of the 25 Buddha Sattawas Leela to raise fund for the construction of Buddha Mondhon (Buddha Precint/ BKK suburb). The amulet creation on that occasion has been recorded as the biggest ever in quantity and a country greatest blessing ceremony by 108 great Guru monks.

Chairman Of The Committe: Prime Minister P. Phiboonsongkram
President For The Working Committee: Pol Gen Pao Sriyanondha
Vice President For The Working Committee: Pol Maj Gen Nuang Akhubutra

Number of creation:
1. Baked clay : 2,421,250 pieces
2. Lead/Tin : 2,421,250 pieces
Grand Total: 4,842,500 pieces
Donation Rate for 1 & 2: 10 Baht per each
3. Gold: 15 pieces
4. Nak (Alloy of Gold + Copper): 30 pieces
5. Silver 300 pieces

Place of manufacture: Wat Suthat
Twice blessings: February 9, 10, 11 and May 2,3,4, B.E.2500 by 108 Guru monks at Wat Suthat

After blessing the baked clay and lead/tin amulets were sent to all district and provicial offices across the country as gifts for donors to help construct the Buddha Mondhon. Due to a very hugh number of creation, the amulets were unpopular among the people at that time. Many years passed by, only a little number of amulets were distributed. And the hugh number of the amulets of millions were later returned to Buddha Mondhon office.

The country BIGGEST ever and only ONCE manufactured amulets of 25 Buddha Sattawas Leelas of nearly 5 million pieces were just run out --no more left-- in these RECENT YEARS. The 25 Buddha Sattawas Leelas took very long time of 40 years to distribute until the last piece was sold out. Before the running out time, many collector investors donated for thousands of amulets each, all are unused with NO BOXES. Some collector investors have ordered new plastic boxes to contain them. A lot of amulets with new plastic boxes were laterly transacted for profit. This might cause a misunderstanding that they were remaking amulets.

Due to the old amulets running out from the market in these recent years, and due to the public revelation of a country biggest blessing ceremony that cause the 25 Buddha Sattawas Leelas gainning high popularity at present. The market price trend of the amulets are now gradually increasing. The FAKE MAKERS are now producing the FAKES especially the color pieces due to their high prices, The fake makers arrange the mold by copying from a beautiful piece with sophisticated equipment. Even some details are similar to the original authentic pieces but it is noticeable that the FAKE SIZE are shrunken and their letter grooves at the back is narrower and shallower.

Some BY-EAR COLLECTORS have clung to a rumor that there might be a remaking version. This rumor is entirely quite IMPOSSIBLE because the amulets were made ONCE in a very hugh number of nearly 5 millions pieces by the order of the government, and they just ran out in these RECENT years after a long marathon distributing for around 40 years. This means the 25 Buddha Sattawas Leelas were manufactured with OVER SUPPLY quantity. By common sense, no trickery merchants would invest in the over-supply MERCHANDISE. Moreover, the molds--the goverment properties-- were reportedly buried in Buddha Mondhon at the early stage of the construction many ten years ago. And I have never heard of such the remaking rumor in Thailand, but have seen many ghost-produced FAKES. And a lot of those FAKES have been exported to neighboring countries by the cooperation of the two-sided unscrupulous dealers. And possibly, SOME GUY who stands behind the dark curtain and PROCLAIMS none of interest involved might have shared secret benefit-- WHO KNOW??!!.

The 25 Buddha Sattawas Leelas are very good great, invaluable amulets because they were blessingly finished by the great 108 Gurus of around 45 years ago. Whoever would like to have one should purchase from the TRUSTABLE dealers only because there are so many FAKES spreading around in the amulet markets, otherwise you will get a FAKE. As mentioned above, the FAKES have same details as the real ones but the size is shrunken and the letter grooves on the back are narrower and shallower.

Pidta Jumbo Sorng B.E.2521, With One Silver Takruts Below.

Phra Pitda Jumbo 2 is one of the most collectable amulet that Luang Pu had made in B.E 2521-2523/ A.D 1978-1980.This Batch of Pidta was divided in to
Three Types of material:

(1) Nur Bailan - Bailan in Thai Word means Sutra (Phrase Of Buddha
Teaches That Written On Leaf). This black colour Pidta was made by Old Sutra Books. The Thais believe that amulets that made by Bailan (Sutra Leaf) had powerful protection in it.

(2) Nur Kesong - KSong in Thai word means Jasmine Powder. This Yellow

(3) Nur PhomTut - Phomtut in Thai Word means Joss stick powder. This
Grey Colour Pitda was made by Joss-stick Powder and the Thais believe that this Amulet can help them in avoiding Danger/Accident.
Among This Three Type of Material, Bailan had the most Quantity (34974

(2700Pics). Some of the Pitda are soak in Holy Water for Three Years but
heard only Nur Bailan was soaked in Holy Water.

Chinnamon is the word used to describe amulets soaked in holy water. A thin layer or patches of fine powdery substance will be formed on the amulets, henceforth sometimes preventing close-up viewing on the actual material underneath.

Jumbo2 , LP.Toh Wat Pradoo Chimplee 2521-2523
Learn from this one. How can you verify Jumbo2 with yourself?
1) Siver Takrut must be yellow not white or black.
2) The like beside the right ear, try to remember its size.
3) The natural on surface, this is important which genuine should have it.

For direct expert of LP.Toh amulet will have the point to verify genuine. Where is the point?
Most important which can tell you fake or genuine is the beside of both edges has to be pressed because this point will be appeared when the stuff was taken from mold. The expert said this point can tel you fake or genuine 70-80% and we can notice that the edge and some material has been fold. The another 20-30% is the natural of oily material must be appeared around the amulet.
You can notice that the new natural which come out the amulet will be white to yellow at first and became brown later and most import for all LP.Toh's amulet is looking wet. Don't forget thal LP.Toh's amulet never dry, it will look wet. That is all which save you from the fake. It is principle of its , don't against the principle and it nature.

Phra Pidta Kanok Kang, LP Toh, Wat Pradoochimplee B.E.2522

Phra Pidta Kanok Kang of LP Toh, Wat PradooChimPlee, was made in B.E.2522. Approximately 10,600 pieces are made of black Bailan and 1,500 pieces are of yellow color. The black pieces were inserted with one or two Takrut at the bottom but none for the yellow color. It's rather rare to find the yellow item which is 4-5 times more expensive than the black item. There are a lot of fake pieces of yellow color in the maket. Some fakes may insert Takrut at the bottom.
About Phra Pidta Phim Kanok Khang made in BE2522 there are 2 type of material

1. Neu Phong Kasorn (yellow batch), no takrut and made 1,500 pieces.

2. Neu Phong Bailarn (greyish batch), there are one or two takrut and made 10,000 pieces. There are less than 4,000 pieces with two takrut.

And there are also the special phim:

- Phim Kammakarn Neu Phong Kasorn with gold takrut and silver takrut, and made only 5 pieces.

- Phim Kammakarn Neu Phong Bailarn with gold takrut and silver takrut, and made only 100 pieces.

- Phim Kammakarn Piset with two pieces of gold takrut and made only 40 pieces.

Vocab Note: Kanok Kang =Thai designs at the edge
Phra Pidta Kanok Kang, black color. One or two Takruts were inserted at the bottom.

Pidta Kanok Kang, consecrated by Luang Pu Toh, Wat Pradoochimplee in B.E.2522, where "Kanok" refers to a cultural Thai design of golden silk to represent flames and "Kang" means side or flank. Hence, the meaning of Pidta Kanok Kang is "Flames beside the image of Phra Pidta".

Luang Pu Toh made this batch of Pidta Kanok Kang amulets for Chok Lap (good fortune). The consecration was done by placing the Phra Pidta amulets on the altar in the temple, amidst candles and by tying of Sai Sin (holy threads) between the holy candles and amulets.

Upon an auspicious hour, the consecrated candles (Thian Chai) were lighted and Luang Pu Toh chanted over these Phra Pidta consecutively. The candles were tilted to let the candle wax drip on the Phra Pidta amulets so as to bless these Phra Pidta amulets with the "flames".

When the hot wax dripped on the Phra Pidta, the fire that dripped along were miraculously extinguished and the amulets did not catch fire. This was witnessed by many spectators and after the ceremony, Luang Pu Toh distributed these Phra Pidta amulets and blessed the people who now owned this batch of Pidta Kanok Kang.

Subsequently, the people who were present during the ceremony and were given this batch of Phra Pidta Kanok Kang, came together after sometime and discussed their experiences. Many experienced "Kleaw Klaad" (free from danger) and "Metta Mahanyiom" (extremely good relations with others). This batch of Phra Pidta is highly sought after by people who believe in the miracles of Luang Pu Toh.

The quantities for Phim Tamada (normal mould) are as follows:

Nur Phong Bailan (burnt palm leaves) made 10,000 pieces, where less than 4,000 pieces are of 2 silver thakrud.
Nur Phong Kesorn (jasmine flower pollen) made 1,500 pieces, where no thakrud was inserted.
